Powerful Testimony about surviving assassination.

Powerful Testimony about surviving assassination.

Because of my conversion from Islam and my progressive Gospel activities, I have been targeted several times by those muslims who claim that according to Islamic Shariah law, the sin of apostasy — leaving Islam — must be punished by death.

While Uganda does not have any laws criminalizing apostasy, many Ugandan Muslims still feel strongly that, this is a sin, and must be punished by death.

Because of that, on December 24, 2011, Ugandan Muslim extremists attacked me with Acid.

Some years prior to Acid attack, one night, on my way home after preaching with another exmuslim Pastor Jamada of victory Church in Nateete, Kampala, someone jumped from the bushes with an automatic rifle.

The person told me to stop but I was too scared to stop walking. I had seen this person before since he was from a Kampala muslim Tablighi mosque with radical links, and he was known in the community. He opened fire on me, but I suddenly felt as if someone had grabbed my shoulder and pulled me down quickly. I slipped, falling at once into murky waters.

At first, as I fell into the water, I thought I was shot due to the cold feeling of the water which I at first thought was blood. But I quickly realized that this was not the case. Four bullets had been shot at me at close range, but they narrowly missed me.

Today I cannot fail to thank God whom I know for sure was the one that pulled me down.

The Lord instructed us saying: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Mathew 10:28

We shouldn’t be afraid because God did not give us the spirit of fear… 2 Timothy 1:7

Just keep in mind that you don’t own your life, somebody so superior does, and nobody will kill you before your time.
